The Double Hit Rule in Pickleball

Can you hit the ball twice in pickleball? The answer is yes, but only in certain situations. Here is how the rule actually works.

Legal Double Hit

If your paddle accidentally makes contact with the ball twice during one continuous swing in one direction, that is legal. Play continues. The motion has to be one uninterrupted forward swing. The moment you stop and swing again, it becomes two separate hits, and it is no longer legal.
