What Is Stacking?

Stacking is a doubles strategy where both players position themselves on the same side of the court before the serve or return, then move to their preferred sides after the ball is in play.

Normally in doubles, you and your partner switch sides every time your team scores. Stacking lets you skip that and stay in the positions that work best for your team.
